Phumy Wasuco was founded from one of Ba Ria Vung Tau Water Supply Joint Stock Company's susbsidiaries. In 1997, a 20,000 m3 - capacity My Xuan - Tan Thanh water was constructed by the Decicion No.725 of BRVT's People's Committee issued on April 14th 1997. The My Xuan watere supplying system was inaugurated and officially operated on August 29th, 1998. This milestone marked the initially historic step of Phumy Wasuco.

After 6 years of operation, Phumy water supplying subsialiar was equitized by The Decision No.6023 of BRVT People's Commitee and become Phumy water supply joint Stock Company (Phumy Wasuco) on August 27th 2004.
